The Railway Station, Station Road, Bishops Lydeard, Somerset TA4 3BX. (Use TA4 3RU for sat navs.)

The newly refurbished Gauge Museum, on the West Somerset Steam Railway line, is situated within the goods shed on Platform 1, at Bishops Lydeard Station. West Somerset Railway is the longest heritage railway in England.

For our finale venue, part of Somerset Open Studios, Inch by IN:CH artists will be showing work in the unique Victorian Sleeping carriage in the museum, with artworks spilling out onto the platform. It is a fabulous legacy to Great Western Railway, with some wonderful details and intriguing history. It is good enough to live in – in fact someone did live in it for years!

Treating this as a residency, there will be a range of public engagement events throughout the week and two weekends: participatory activities, workshops, performance, demonstrations, and artists-in-conversation. We will also be linking to The Big Draw for our drawing events, especially in our final family friendly weekend (2/3 October).
